As soon as shelling began in Nikopol, the issue of mobile shelters became urgent. After all, you can hide in them from shrapnel damage and an explosive wave. Currently, two concrete structures have been installed in the city. There are ramps at the entrance for people with disabilities.

One of the shelters is located near a bus stop in the city center. This was reported by the one of civilians from Nikopol.

According to Informator for some time, protective structures were not installed in Nikopol, because the proposed options did not have the necessary certificate. Where he was, the cost of the shelter reached up to 2 million hryvnias for 20–25 people, the terms of production were unclear. The mayor of Nikopol, Oleksandr Sayuk, recently told about this.

NZF came to help in solving the issue. The company fully assumed the costs and complex of works. Not a single penny was spent on protective structures from the city budget, the mayor emphasized. There are inscriptions on all sides, including a request not to litter. Utility workers will supervise the order around and inside the building.

A monolithic structure made of reinforcement and concrete can withstand an artillery shell, experts say. The walls here are quite thick, roughly, up to 25 people can hide inside and wait out the bad weather at the same time.
