"His patriotism was greater than fear": farewell to the fallen soldier in Cherkasy

In Smila, they said goodbye to Valery Sokur, who died in Donetsk region. This was reported Suspilne by the mayor Serhii Ananko.

Valery was born in the village of Pastyrske in the former Smilyan district. After finishing school, he entered the Kyiv Sports School. It so happened that he did not work in his profession. He was engaged in construction, devoting almost his entire life to this business.

From the beginning of the war, realizing that he could not sit idly by, he signed up for territorial defense. Because his patriotism, love for the country and family were greater than fear. At the end of autumn, he was already mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a bright, kind a person, a good husband, father, grandfather and had golden hands. That's how Valery Petrovich was remembered by everyone who knew him, - said Serhiy Ananko.

A soldier died on January 25 in the Donetsk region while performing a combat mission. Ukranian said goodbye to him in Smila.
