The Power of Words and Actions: Positive Impact on Society (Rayan Riener)

Personal publication. The book "To Mars": an overview and the problems I face as an author. For more than 10 years, to say that Ryan Riener, an unknown Ukrainian writer - would not be the same as to say that he is famous, whose work is focused on topics related to ecology, technology, the LGBT+ community and the problems of modern society. Although one of the most famous works of my works among readers is the book "To Mars", which was written in 2011-2012 in Nikopol.

It is more correct to say that Rayan Riener is a niche writer whose creative potential is recognized in the English-speaking segment of readers more than in Ukraine. 

Stories That Could Change the World: Ryan Riener and a Literary Journey in a Sea of Canceling

"To Mars" is an exciting and unusual story that transports readers to the Red Planet. The book tells about the adventures of the main character, who fights for his place in the world and tries to defend his dignity and the right to be himself. The story reflects the complexity of human relationships, the search for identity and the importance of accepting yourself as you are. But, this book "doesn't cover everyone".

However, the book "To Mars" was criticized and misunderstood in the Ukrainian literary environment. Some critics have commented on the writing style and subject matter. It is important to note that literary discussions and disagreements are an integral part of the art world, and they contribute to the development of the literary scene. But, of course, everything must have boundaries. Discrimination, unfortunately, does not have them at all.

Unfortunately, Rayan Riener (as author), to say the least, has faced issues with harassment in real life and slander on social media. Pages were illegally blocked on the Facebook platform and beyond. Together with the entire audience from almost all countries of the planet. Despite these difficulties, he wants to continue working on his creative process and cooperates with Ukrainian publishing houses with the aim of republishing "To Mars" in English and preparing the Ukrainian version for publication.

In addition, I would like to talk about active cooperation - with your readers and fan club (more his remains) on the page of the book "To Mars" on Facebook. There is also a plan to hold a meeting with readers in early summer to agree further cooperation and get feedback from their fans.

Reprinting "To Mars" takes a significant amount of time and effort. But I have a lot of confidence that I will be able to stick to the planned schedule and present a quality product. No matter how difficult it is. All my published books are now available in English on Amazon.

From writing to charity: life in the conditions of war

Community of the book "To Mars" & Rayan Riener Fan Club before actively developed in Facebook groups. Let's thank the haters for their purposeful destruction. It is hard to imagine how many people the Ukrainian military (and not only) have lost, who could help in security and in many other matters in which they could be involved, thanks to me. What is lost cannot be returned, but there is no sense in folding hands. Especially when writing is your life.

We would like to express our wish that the book "To Mars" could be purchased in Ukrainian bookstores. In particular, so that the book can be purchased in niche stores, such as anime stores in Dnipro, Kharkiv and Kyiv. Since real help from the "LGBT community of Ukraine" in supporting queer literature is not to be expected, at least during the war. As for the sections of "queer books" in the country's bookstores or specialized stores, don't even think about it.

I will write in the third person, but it makes sense to write:

Rayan Riener is counting on the support of his readers and invites bookstores interested in implementing a new edition of "To Mars" in Ukrainian to cooperate. I would like to believe in the success of my works, which talk about social spheres of life and current problems of society, and count on a wide audience that will be able to appreciate even specific creativity. Because I want to finally see the same "time of change", which seems to have come, but not really.

The literary path as volunteering: the benefactor as a message of important ideas

My call to support Ukraine, LGBT+ military countries and Rayan Riener's social art remains relevant. My work offers a unique perspective to readers and stimulates them to think about important challenges of society, regardless of age. In addition to my literary activity, I will quietly note my active participation - in charity projects and aid to the military, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation and other characteristics. 

And here, I will report ineptly. During the two years of the war, Private Ryan invested significant efforts and resources in helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), veterans, animals and other victims of war. The total amount of charitable contributions exceeds several hundred thousand hryvnias. Does this show a deep understanding of the importance of social responsibility and a desire to help those in need? But not for Tik Tok chicks who write their comments from Berlin or Warsaw, or haters who roll their eyes.

Such active participation in charity projects reflects not only humanistic values (which I have been striving for all my life), but also a passionate attitude towards the cause of supporting the military, with special respect for them, and the victims of the military conflict, among whom I am. I really want to help improve the lives of people and animals who suffered from these terrible events, as well as show my sincere respect for the military, who risk the most valuable thing - their lives, for the sake of protecting the country. For the protection of each of us.

I would like my work to inspire readers, prompt them to think about important social issues, including inclusion, equality, tolerance and humanism. My books offer this perspective and challenge readers to think about worldviews and values, supporting understanding of diversity and the importance of mutual understanding.
