As a result of the flooding of all the territories of the "Kazkova Dibrova" zoo in the temporarily occupied city of Nova Kakhovka, all the animals died. This information was confirmed by UA Animals activists, who noted that only aquatic animals, such as swans and ducks, were able to escape. This was reported in the Facebook group of UA Animals activists with a link to the "Focus" website.

According to the owner of the zoo, Olena Navrotska, about 300 animals died. Suffering for the zoo was also the fact that the Russian invaders forbade the guards, who usually came to feed the animals in the morning, to work. As a result, no one was able to release the animals from the enclosures after the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric plant, Olena concluded.

Evacuation was impossible. We tried with all our might to save the animals. How many efforts were made, how many people helped save animals in such terrible conditions, practically risking their lives. Now "Dibrova" is gone. 300 innocent animals, our beloved pets, died. Anfisochka, Charlyk, Malyuk the pony, Osya the donkey, Myshko the raccoon, everything, -  she told "Ukrainian Pravda".

The owner of the park, Olena Navrotska, said that almost all the animals died. Before the tragedy, monkeys, raccoons, ishaks, ponies, nutria, various birds, porcupines, marmots, turtles and many others lived in this zoo. The animals remained in the park from the first day of the Russian invasion. Navrotska says that all of them turned out to be blocked, because the entire park was mined, covered with trees and dug through with trenches.

We will remind that the Russian occupiers blew up the Kakhovskaya HPP, which led to severe flooding in Kherson and the region. People try to save dogs, cows and other domestic animals from the elements.
