During the year, 14 people died in Nikopol and its surroundings, and about 2,000 houses were damaged or destroyed

Nikopol region survived eight months of constant shelling, as a result of which 14 local residents died and 94 were injured. Almost 1,800 private houses and high-rise buildings were damaged in the city. This information was provided by the press service of the Dnipro Regional State Administration.

Nikopol district constantly suffers from enemy shelling, which forces energy workers, gas workers and utility workers to work even harder. Each new artillery volley from the enemy leads to the destruction of houses and infrastructure, but on the same day utility workers get to work, helping to dismantle rubble and repair the destroyed.

Victims of shelling are provided with the necessary building materials, and philanthropists help with their delivery. Utility workers cover broken windows and repair roofs, trying to restore normal living conditions to local residents.

For example, an enemy shell hit the house of 19-year-old Vasilisa on February 28. One room has disappeared completely, while the other has only the walls left. Previously, this room served as a hall where the family gathered with friends.
