A memorial square is planned to be built on the site of a block of houses destroyed by a Russian missile in Dnipro

A little more than a month has passed since the Russian Kh-22 missile hit a residential building in Dnipro. Two entrances were completely destroyed. 46 people died. This is reported by Dnipro Informator.

The surviving part of the building is already being restored, and a memorial square is planned to be built on the site of the destroyed block. The city monetizes payments to victims as much as possible, so that people can choose new housing themselves. Currently, 230 applications have been received.

To rebuild the destroyed entrances, to return the people to their homes there, would mean to make them relive the pain of the tragedy that happened to them again and again. The mayor of Dnipro called the use of the Kh22 missile by the Russians, which they fired at a peaceful city, even though such a weapon was designed to destroy aircraft carriers, a war crime.
