The family of the fallen soldier from Nikopol, Serhiy Sova, was awarded the highest state award - the "Gold Star" order. The solemn ceremony took place on Sofia Square in Kyiv. Oksana, the wife of a soldier, and his children Marat and Elina received the award on behalf of their deceased husband and father. This is reported by "Dnipro Regional".

Serhiy Sova was a military man who served in the 93rd mechanized brigade "Kholodniy Yar", he participated in anti-terrorist operation and anti-terrorist operation. In April 2022, he was on the front line in Kharkiv region. After the deoccupation of Izyum in September 2022, his body was discovered in one of the mass graves.
