On September 23, they said goodbye to the soldier Serhiy Sova in Nikopol. Since April 19, the man was considered missing, and his body was found in Izyum during the exhumation of bodies at a mass burial. This became known from the decree of the President of Ukraine No. 666/2022.

Today, September 24, Serhiy Sova was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Golden Star, unfortunately, posthumously. His wife and two children were left without his father - 9-year-old daughter Elina and 14-year-old son Marat.

Serhiy Sova was a soldier of the 93rd brigade "Kholodny Yar". The soldier was recognized by his wife Oksana thanks to his tattoos. The photo of Sergei's hand with a blue-yellow bracelet, which was seen all over the world, became a symbol of the crimes of the Russian occupiers.
