Troops in and around Odessa were put on alert and residents were ordered to go to shelters after the peripheral city was attacked by drones overnight. The unmanned aerial vehicles that caused the losses were sent by the Russians. These are not the only activities of the aggressors in recent times. Heavy fighting continues in eastern Ukraine. about Bakhmut and Awdiivka.

The drone attack on Odessa took place around 1:00 am Polish time on the night of Monday to Tuesday. According to the local authorities, the unmanned aerial vehicles sent by the aggressors caused material damage. However, no details were given.

Yuri Kruk, head of the Odessa military district administration, said that soldiers in the area had been put on alert and “actions had been taken”. However, it was stipulated that during the war not everything could be reported, so this issue was not elaborated on either.

"I am asking the inhabitants of the Odessa region not to ignore the alarm signals and stay in shelters," added Kruk, quoted in the communiqué.

On Tuesday morning, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that the day before the Russians fired three rockets and carried out 21 air strikes, as well as 33 shelling from multiple rocket launchers. The defenders' forces repelled a total of 69 attacks from them.

The heaviest fighting is taking place in four directions in eastern Ukraine: Lyman, Bakhmucki, Avdiiv and Marjin. The Russians still want to take control of the strategically important Bakhmut and are storming this city.
