The evening and night in Nikopol passed without shelling. Of course there were endless alarms. Already in the morning, on May 22, the Russians launched several salvos from barrel artillery. And later, an unknown watercraft was spotted on the reservoir, which was heading towards our shore.

This was announced by the head of the Nikopol district military administration Yevhen Yevtushenko.

An unexpected message for the townspeople was that a watercraft was spotted on the Kakhovsky Reservoir. Evgeny Yevtushenko reported this around 10 o'clock in the morning.

Later they wrote that it was a boat. 2 targets are marked on it. They were identified. People were reassured by the fact that the coastline is under the reliable protection of the military.

It is not known how the story with the uninvited guests on the boat ended. Details will be given later.

The probability of daytime artillery shelling in Nikopol and the surrounding area remains, so it is better to avoid open places. According to information from the mayor Oeksandr Sayuk, all the infrastructure in Nikopol is working, utility companies are performing their functions and are continuing to eliminate the consequences of previous shelling.

Earlier, the media reported that air defense forces shot down 15 drones and 4 cruise missiles over Dnipropetrovsk region: there was destruction and injuries. The enemy targeted Nikopol region with kamikaze drones and barrel artillery.
